my why

Photography has never just been a hobby for me—it’s how I hold on to what matters most. It's what I use to capture the big laughs, the quiet in-between moments, and everything that makes life feel full.

When my oldest niece was born in 2008, that instinct deepened. Documenting her milestones showed me just how quickly time moves—and how important it is to freeze it when we can. What started as passion grew into purpose. In 2022, I decided to take some classes at Parkland College to refine my skills, you know, learn a little bit more about the craft and the history behind it. It was fun and helpful. That experience pushed me to want to start my own business. So, in 2024, on my mama’s birthday (March 31st), I officially launched my business and baybeh I felt all of the emotions, including nervousness and fear but on the other hand I was excited and proud of myself for taking that leap. That following year, I had the honor of photographing my mama's 65th birthday celebration—watching her fight back tears as she scrolled through the album and saw just how loved she was made me so happy.

In July 2025, I lost my mama. She absolutely did not like taking pictures, so the ones I do have of her, feel like miracles. Because of photography, I can look back on one of the most meaningful days of our lives and for that, I'll forever be grateful. In my grief, I choose gratitude and I choose to remember.

That’s why I do this. Because moments matter—and once they’re gone, all we have are the memories we chose to keep. I am endlessly grateful that I captured so many moments with her. Those images and videos have become priceless treasures that deeply shape the way I approach my work. They remind me that photography isn’t just about perfect poses, clean looks and saying "cheeseeeee" — it’s about capturing connection, comfort, and love exactly as it is.

Whether I’m photographing families, couples, or everyday life as it naturally unfolds, my goal is to create images that feel warm, relaxed, and real. The kind you’ll laugh at, tear up over, and proudly hang on your walls. If you’re looking for a photographer who will help you feel at ease, celebrate your story, and document the moments you’ll want to return to again and again, I’d be honored to tell it with you and my friend, you are part of my why.
